Editorial Policy
This policy explains how MyVitality creates, reviews and maintains the content on this website — our articles, research summaries and product information. Our aim is simple: everything we publish should be accurate, genuinely useful, and grounded in credible evidence.
Not medical advice
The information on this website is provided for general educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Dietary supplements are not a replacement for a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new supplement — particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
Who writes our content
Our content is produced and reviewed by the MyVitality team, led by our founder, Stephen Pollard. Every article carries a visible byline and links to the author’s profile, so you always know who wrote and reviewed what you’re reading.
Sources and fact-checking
When we make a health or scientific claim, we base it on credible sources — peer-reviewed research, systematic reviews, and guidance from recognised health authorities. Where the science is still emerging or mixed, we say so plainly rather than overstating what’s known. Wherever it helps, we link to the primary studies so you can read them for yourself.
Product claims
Claims we make about our own products are written to reflect the available evidence and New Zealand’s dietary supplement regulations. We describe what ingredients are studied to support, without promising outcomes or implying our products treat medical conditions. Individual results vary.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting and editing — but never to publish unchecked. Every piece of content is directed, reviewed and approved by a named person before it goes live. AI helps us work faster; it doesn’t replace human judgement, and we don’t publish anything we wouldn’t stand behind ourselves.
Accuracy, updates and freshness
Research evolves, and so does good guidance. We review our content periodically and update it when the evidence, regulations or our own recommendations change. Each article shows a publish date so you can see how current it is.
Corrections
We work hard to get things right, but if you spot an error we want to know. Get in touch via our contact page and we’ll review it promptly. When we make a material correction to a published article, we update the content and note that it has been revised.
Independence and disclosure
MyVitality sells the supplements we write about, and we’re upfront about that. Our goal is to give you balanced, evidence-based information so you can make an informed decision — not to overstate benefits. We aim to represent the science fairly, including its limits.
